All Saints VA CofE Primary School

Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to All Saints Primary School. This website provides a snapshot of our school and a great deal of information which I hope you will find useful. The staff, governors, Friends of Netheravon School and children are very proud of our school and everyone involved works hard to make this a happy, caring and vibrant learning community.

Our aim is to provide the highest quality education we can for every child in our care in order to enable each child to reach his or her potential. However, it is not just the children who are learning! The school actively promotes family learning programmes, for example, in behaviour management, literacy and numeracy. Our excellent ICT facilities are used weekly by a local computer club and, of course, every adult in school is constantly learning alongside the children. The whole school benefits from the varied contributions of many members of the local community, whether that is through listening to children read, helping with art and craft, providing costumes for performances or, in the case of our local clergy and lay pastoral assistants, taking a weekly assembly.

A daily delight for me is to watch the enthusiasm of the children as they rush through the school gates in the morning! Our system of Golden Rules, combined with a comprehensive system of rewards and sanctions, permeates everything we do in school. When I asked children about our school two replies were particularly apt: ‘All Saints is a family school’ and ‘Everyone is friends at All Saints’. We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all our children. At the same time, we attach great importance to providing a stimulating and engaging curriculum. Many extra-curricula activities and events are organized each term, ranging from after school clubs to dedicated weeks designed to raise the profile of different subjects and issues, for example, Science Week, Art Week and Multi-Cultural Week.

We teach Spanish to K.S.2 and each class from Year 2 to 6 receive specialist sports coaching. Music is also a high priority and we are fortunate to employ a specialist music teacher, and to be able to offer individual and small group tuition in guitar, recorder, violin and piano.

Nothing can replace the first hand experience of a visit and so, if you are considering All Saints for your child, please contact the school office to arrange an appointment. We would love to show you around.
